Database interfaces
Most companies do not only have one major database application but many of them. To reduce the friction and promote interaction between these applications and their departments each one has to be able to interface with the other.
To do this so called database interfaces are used. Such interfaces can be implemented using various different tools and environments. Information can be exchanged using ASCII, CSV or XML files. There are numerous modern interface options, such as native database links or with tools such as Java.
Right from the start we participated in the development and maintenance of database interfaces. We have created interfaces between different Oracle applications such as: ISI / SAP, but also in herogenous database environments such as with: KIS / Procars, KIS / Euromistral, KIS / Ciel, KIS /Caesar, Oracle / AS400.
